Britney Spears just recently announced that she is engaged with long term boyfriend, Sam Asghari, through a (now deleted) Instagram selfie showing off a diamond ring.
“Look at that — you like it?” Asghari, asks
“Yeah!” Spears who is having the time of her life holler in happiness.
While the soon-to-be bride is above the clouds in elation, Asghari expressed his joy in a simple yet sweet post of himself kissing his fiancé while showing off the diamond-studded finger of the pop star.

By weekend, more than 1.6 million likes have poured over the engaged couple’s announcement since its posting. A couple of celebrities have also sent their best wishes (as well as well-meaning tips) in the comment section.
Spears met Asghari in 2016 after the latter starred in her music video for the single “Slumber Party”.
Before the engagement, Spears had two children with her ex-husband, rapper Kevin Federline, and was married for only 55 hours in Las Vegas to childhood friend Jason Alexander.
The pop star became an icon in the music industry, with her songs “hit me, baby, one more time” and “Oops!… I did it again”
In 2007, she received public backlash for attacking a paparazzi’s car at a gas station. The incident led Spears to be placed under a court-ordered conservatorship managed by her father, Jamie Spears. The incident didn’t stop the pop star, though, from releasing three albums, appearing in TV shows and even taking up residency in Las Vegas.
Things hit a rough patch in 2019 as she suspended her performances until further notice, and became vocal over her conservatorship issue with her father.
In July, she initiated the removal of her father from 13-year guardianship stating that it was abusive. In early September, a petition to end the conservatorship was filed by the pop star’s father, Jamie Spears, after holding reins of her estate for more than 13 years.
