Girl in a jacket

Her dog loves sitting by her, so she built a chair perfect for needy pets

If you have a pet, then you know probably know very well that owners are always the ones adjusting for their companions — never the other way around. So when homemaker Simone Giertz noticed that her dog liked sitting next to her, she went on to design a chair that was especially made to accommodate your pet.

The chair has a built-in staircase so that cats and small dogs can easily make their way up to you. It’s wide enough to seat both yourself and your furry friend, with railings on either end that serve as a backrest and safety barrier. To top it off, underneath the chair is a shelter that your pet may rest in as well.

The self-proclaimed maker and robotics enthusiast took to Twitter to share her creation which got all pet owners buzzing on the platform. Her tweet has garnered 64k retweets and over 320k likes as of writing.

Since the chair was designed with small sized pets in mind, people have been requesting for Simone to build one for bigger dogs.

While the chair wasn’t intended for mass production, you can watch how Simone Giertz built this dream chair on her YouTube channel.
