Robert Downey Jr. a contender for Worst Actor in this year’s Razzies

It seems like Robert Downey Jr. has been having trouble following his iconic role of Iron Man, as he received a nomination for Razzies Worst Actor of the year.

The Golden Raspberry “awards” body recently announced their line-up for the worst films and performances of 2020. Razzies, created in 1980, serves as the antithesis to the Academy Awards ceremony — honoring the films that fell flat. Downey Jr.’s role in ‘Dolittle’ was considered lackluster enough to be in the running for Worst Actor.

The Razzies nominated A-list stars like 2021 Golden Globe nominee Kate Hudson (Music), and Oscar winner Anne Hathaway (The Last Thing He Wanted). While veteran Adam Sandler is up for his 40th nomination as he joins the Worst Actor roster for his performance in ‘Hubie Halloween’.

‘Dolittle’ and ‘365 Days’ will be going head to head with the most nominations this year, receiving six each. Both are up for the Worst Picture category.
