Trigger Warning: The message behind Callalily’s 241 music video

The music video of Callalily’s rendition of the Rivermaya hit “241”, has been released on YouTube as part of the Rico Blanco Songbook.

Reality bites. The story aims to open perspectives & brings a bad romance into view.

Director, Kris Cazin’s brand of storytelling blurs the line between fiction and reality with honest portrayals by Minnie Nato, Julius Gareza & Rey Vitug.

The video depicts one of the dark and traumatic realities faced by women in our society, who are being forced into sexually abusive setups by men at their own expense, which is just one of the many, abusive ways the prevailing patriarchy exploit women for their own ends.

The eye opening music video for Callalily’s take on 241 is now available on the Viva Records YouTube channel.
