Rising Pop group, Boys World, release sophomore single and video for ‘Wingman’

Los Angeles based girl-power-pop group, Boys World, has unveiled their new track titled “Wingman,” along with an effervescent video directed by Symone Ridgell (King Princess, Noah Cyrus, Quinn XCII) – once again proving they are this digital generation’s answer to girl power. “Wingman” is the group’s second standalone single following their debut hit song, “Girlfriends,” which impressively rose to one million views and three million streams worldwide in three months. The sophomore single was written by Gino Barletta (Katy Perry, Selena Gomez), Lindgren (Dua Lipa, BTS, Sia), and Melanie Fontana (The Chainsmokers, Halsey).

Off the heels of their debut single “Girlfriends,” this new song and video possess all of the Boys World hallmarks – empowerment for all, eccentricity, and vibrancy with nods to R&B and old-school pop. “Wingman” is a song centered on self-love, confidence, and expression, which Ridgell vividly brings to life on screen. The video sees the girls dancing alongside animations that display their individual and signature queen-like characters, as the dynamic group continues to be a force to reckon with.

“The lyrics of ‘Wingman’ are truly uplifting and we felt it was important to get the message across to our fans that you are amazing as you are and on your own,” said Boys World in a joint statement. “’Wingman’ was the first song we ever recorded, so it has a really special place in each of our hearts. We hope that we can inspire anyone who listens to our music to know their worth and to find their own inner royalty, because sometimes all you really need is yourself.”

Boys World is the eclectic super group of five members – Elana Caceres, Olivia Ruby, Queenie Mae, Lillian Kay and Makhyli. Blossoming from the digital age we are living in, Boys World is the next destined breakout band whose secret to their instant appeal lies in the band’s commitment to offering something – and someone – for everyone. These girls are unstoppable between their ultimate girl-next-door vibes, undeniable vocals, tempo choreography, and infectious friendships. Their inaugural single, “Girlfriends” has generated one million views and over three million plays since its release in October 2020, and earned the group praise from fans and critics alike. The girls secured their place as ones to watch in the industry prior to releasing any music, with Refinery29 naming them as one of the most 14 influential Gen-Z “people doing the most with the least.” Boys World is currently hard at work on their debut EP and full-length record, both of which are due to release this year. As lifetime music obsessives, schooled at the altars of 90s R&B, classic rock, and modern pop, Boys World represents the future of pop music with a wink to the past.
