PLM HARIBIZ: The Haribon’s Guide to Online Business

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused significant changes in our society which led business owners to explore and use digital means in promoting their businesses.  Nowadays, most students rely on online selling as their means of living. With this, small online businesses have been flourishing on social media platforms, garnering customers from various places.

As part of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila – Business School Student Council’s plan of action, they initiated a project that would aid young entrepreneurs and uprising business owners within the university. This event aims to widen the participants’ knowledge of branding, digital marketing, business principles, social entrepreneurship, and business ventures that will hone them in preparation for their future market endeavors.

The project has also been showcasing local online businesses owned by fellow PLM iskolars by providing them the Haribon Business Hub Facebook group for promotion and product selling. Moreover, the significant use of #SupportLocalHaribon connects every PLM entrepreneur to the growing population of the university’s community.

With the topics aligned to the theme of the webinar, it will prepare aspiring business leaders in becoming a catalyst for social change that shall carry transformational benefits to the economy and society. The event will be on September 28-30, 2020 via Zoom meetings and Facebook Live.
