And this particular type of tree with multicolored bark will remind you why nature is worth saving. Named the Eucalyptus deglupta or the Rainbow Eucalyptus tree, this plant showcases a spectrum of colors and beautifully-streaked patterns that make it look like that of a rainbow.
What do we need to know about the Rainbow Eucalyptus tree?
This kind of eucalyptus tree can reportedly grow fast–extending up to five feet every season and reaching “250 feet tall with a diameter of 6 feet.” It also requires a lot of sun exposure with a temperature not lower than 50 F. (10 C.). So, if you’re living in a cold place, the tree may not be able to survive but if it’s still in its early phases, then it is recommended that you put the plant indoors inside a garden container with proper drainage.
Gardening Know How also advises not to use fertilizers because the phosphorus is not necessary for this tree.
Where can the Rainbow Eucalyptus tree be found?
This particular eucalyptus species is native to countries like Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
In the Philippines, these trees are called “Bagras” and are usually found in the rainforests of Mindanao.
But these uniquely colored trees aren’t only found in the Pacific islands, at present, they are also being cultivated in Hawaii and other areas of the United States of America like California, Florida, and Texas.
