Australian cover band Hindley Street Country Club visits the Philippines for the Manila leg of their concert.
Before the main event, the band revealed that they really wanted to come to the country during an intimate press conference on September 25. Band member Constantine Delo said, “The two places where I want HSCC to go was America for obvious reasons because it’s the entertainment capital of the world and here [Philippines].”
Many Filipino fans have been asking when the band would come to the country, and their request has finally been granted.
Delo also gave a tease, stating that they are “recording with a couple of Filipino artists.” They went on praising Filipinos for their musical abilities and are looking forward to having “a Filipino choir” on their upcoming show.
On the day of the show, the energy in the room was palpable as everyone was excited to groove and jam with the band.
The concert started with their cover of Phil Collins and Philip Bailey’s “Easy Lover,” which pumped up the crowd’s energy.
While singing “You To Me Are Everything,” Danny Lopresto went down the stage to serenade the concertgoers.
Following the high-energy performances, Kat Jade gave an amazing rendition of “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston that pretty much gave everybody goosebumps with how effortlessly she sang the song.
Bradley Polain sang “In the Air Tonight” which left fans in awe as he managed to sing while playing the drums.
During the song “Kiss on My List,” Jordan Lennon went down the stage to interact with some of the fans in the crowd.
When everyone thought that the band would be performing an original song upon the announcement from Constantine Delo, the said segment turned into a prank as they proceeded to play “Careless Whisper” which made everyone in the audience laugh.
Throughout the show, the audience was singing and grooving along with the band that somehow turned a concert into a giant dance party.
After their performance of what seems to be their last song “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now”, the concertgoers started to chant “more” to which the band granted their request as they returned to the stage for their encore performance with songs including “Manila”, wherein they left the audience to sing the rest of the song testing their singing abilities and “Boogie Wonderland.”
To end the night, they sang “You Can Call Me Al” and thanked everyone who came and made this concert possible.
