Music artists who have been hit by objects thrown by their audience (A 2023 list)

In concerts, we always have these ‘pinch-me’ moments because we are witnessing our favorite artists perform their songs live on stage. These moments are supposed to be magical. But no, some people have instead chosen to ruin the concert for everyone else by throwing things at the artists, which has so far been considered a form of assault.

Here’s a list of artists that were victimized by this dangerous ‘trend’ in 2023, so far (we hope we no longer have to update this):

Cardi B

True to the lyrics of her hit ‘Bodak Yellow,’ if you mess up with Cardi B, expect revenge. During her recent Las Vegas performance, a fan threw a drink at her while performing her hit song. She then threw a microphone back at that audience member.

Instead of throwing bars from ‘Bodak Yellow,’ she threw a rather heavier bar toward that audience member.

Kelsea Ballerini

If being splashed was a problem, what more if you got hit by a friendship bracelet? Kelsea Ballerini was in the middle of singing one of her songs in Idaho when an audience member threw a bracelet on stage. According to the video posted on TikTok, the country singer got hit near the eye with the bracelet – leading to her immediate pause. She then assured the fans on her Instagram story that she is fine after the incident.

During his July 8 Austria concert, Harry Styles was  strolling on stage while waving to the fans. When he was about to climb the main stage, he stopped because an unidentified object was thrown at him – causing it to injure his eye.

Drake

During the first night of his ‘It’s All A Blur’ tour on July 5, Drake didn’t receive a hotline bling. He instead received a cell phone being thrown at him. It happened while he was singing the slowed-down version of Ginuwine’s ‘So Anxious.’

P!nk

While performing in London last month, P!nk picked up a bag of someone’s mother’s ashes. She then stopped performing and addressed the fan. Later on, she claims that she doesn’t know how to feel.

Bebe Rexha

Speaking of cell phones, Bebe Rexha seems to have the worst happening so far. While performing in New York City last June, her face got hit by a phone that was thrown by a fan. It caused her to drop to her knees as the crew immediately assisted her to go to a hospital. She later posted a video on TikTok singing to her hit ‘I’m Good (Blue),’ to assure the fans that she was fine even with a bruised eye. The 27-year-old fan that threw the phone, meanwhile, got arrested and charged with assault by the NYPD.
