ICYMI: Tom Cruise lip syncs to Can’t Feel My Face

Abel Tesfaye, or The Weeknd, as he is more popularly known, rose to fame in 2011 with a slew of critically acclaimed mixtapes (House of Balloons, Thursday, Echoes of Silence) featuring dark and seemingly drug-induced alternative R&B music. He went on to release major label albums Trilogy and Kiss Land. He has shaped the landscape of R&B music greatly, scoring collabs with artists like Drake, Sia and Ariana Grande and acquiring fans with the likes of….Tom Cruise?

Yes folks, that’s 53-year old Tom Cruise dancing his socks off to “the song of the summer”, The Weeknd’s Can’t Feel My Face in The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

At 53, he looks like he’s having a damn good time being a goofball. He even messed around with the cameras, “pinching” Jimmy in the face while singing. He also teased the audience and reminded us that he’s the original lip sync king as he almost performed Old Time Rock and Roll, a throwback to classic film Risky Business.

You’re welcome.

And here is The Weeknd channeling Michael Jackson in the song’s official video. LITERAL FIYAAAH!
