Bless us, St. Sachika: UP Diliman student’s 1.00 GWA goes viral

It started on July 19, 2021, when Sachika Azumi Saguisa, a first-year college student at the University of the Philippines in Diliman drew the attention of Filipinos online with her exceptional general weighted average of 1.00.

The circulating buzz started when the student organization Gabay Isko posted on Facebook the issued list of the University Scholars for Academic Year of 2020-2021, giving spotlight to the now-known “St. Sachika” of the Chemical Engineering Department.

The viral iska’s achievement record from the Gabay Isko post has currently gained over 120,000 reactions, 5,900 comments, and 44,000 shares.

A Facebook post by Mark Harvey Susvilla apropos to the student’s academic accomplishment also went viral online, showcasing some folks’ witty reactions under Gabay Isko’s comment section.

One even displayed a formal shot of the UP 2017 graduate Tiffany Uy who received the highest GWA score since World War II with a caption that will make you laugh out loud!
