The League of Learners is a momentous national case competition that was hosted by Direc Business Technologies Inc. (DBTI) last September 1 – November 26, 2020. The event gathered top business, marketing, and communications students to work on DBTI’s business challenges.
Each team was assigned to each business unit, namely, Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions (ERP), Human Resource Information Solutions (HRIS), Information Technology Solutions (ITS), Complementary Solutions (COMPLE), and Customer Relationship Management Software (CRM). Each unit has a product with a complex marketing problem. The participating teams were required to gain each team’s predevelop a marketing strategy in this nationally recognized competition. League of Learners also focuses on sharpening students’ prowess as marketers in a competitive industry by utilizing strategic decisions.
The competition received 300 registrations from all students in the Philippines. During the virtual event, the delegates attended sessions such as Marketing Mentor and Creatives Mentor Webinars last September 7 and September 11, 2020. Also, product overview sessions for all of the business units under Complementary, CRM, Enterprise Resource Planning, Human Resource Information Systems, and Information Technology Systems were conducted last September 18.
All winning teams had a two-week preparation for their IMC plan starting from September 22 – October 19, 2020. After deliberation and evaluation of the submitted IMC plan, organizers announced the finalists last November 6, 2020. During the final round, all teams who successfully passed the preliminary round presented their plans last November 18 – November 20. After the presentation, all winning teams were released last November 24, 2020.
Each winning team shall receive a cash prize worth Php 20,000, certificates, and also will be given on-the-job and project-based opportunities.
