Jason Momoa gets custom-made bass guitar for his birthday

Aquaman lead star Jason Momoa recently turned 41 and for his birthday, he got a sweet gift—a custom-made bass guitar from Fender Precision, made especially for him by Custom Shop Master Builder Vincent Van Trigt.

In a video he posted on his Instagram account, Momoa is adorably excited to receive an age-finished, single-pickup four-string, and Van Trigt even included another fingerboard made in rosewood to boot.

“It’s super light… It’s beautiful,” the former Game of Thrones star says as he first handled the bass, and then quickly proceeds to try his new baby out with a few licks from Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Higher Ground.

Momoa apparently learned how to play bass in 2017 just so he can rock it out with Aquaman co-star Patrick Wilson, who plays the drums, while they’re on set and off-screen.

Since then, he has collected a number of bass guitars, including a 1959 Gibson Les Paul once played by Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page.

Momoa sure looks happy adding this custom guitar to his personal collection.
