Just when you thought the BTS members couldn’t get any cuter, Big Hit Entertainment has launched their official animated characters, ‘TinyTAN’.
According to Big Hit, these chibi versions of the members are an expression of BTS’s second self.
On August 8, BTS released a short animated video through their official YouTube channel. The animation depicted a woman busy at work in a cafe, who receives a video call from home. When she answers the call, TinyTAN is seen on the other end dancing on her laptop. The characters perform to BTS’s song “MIC Drop.”
What fans were most excited to see was the attention to detail. From their movements to their signature facial expressions, these characters resembled their real life counterparts so well. The impressive portrayal of the BTS members are all thanks to Big Hit IP, with around 50 animators working in their R&D studio.
Fans can look forward to seeing more of these cuties as Big Hit plans to release figurines and merchandise of TinyTAN. A sequel to the video is also expected to come out sometime later this year.
