This is the message that Hey Moonshine wishes to impart in their latest single “Astig Ka Dude”, which was released on July 10 under Viva Records. As in their previous releases, Hey Moonshine brings about a very unique sound to the Philippine music scene. They’re sound had been dubbed as “Kontra Hugot”. Clearly influenced by old school rock and roll, the song features at least three guitar layers, a bajo intro solo and strong, gutsy backup vocals.
Astig Ka Dude is the fourth release of Hey Moonshine this year, following the success of Ilang Beses and Wicked Man. The songs were released under Viva Records. Stream the song on Spotify, iTunes and other digital stores.
