‘The Road to F9’, The new mixtape inspired by the blockbuster Fast & Furious movies

Atlantic Records and Universal Pictures have officially announced the upcoming release of “THE ROAD TO F9,” a star-studded mixtape heralding the next chapter in the Fast & Furious franchise, one of the most popular motion picture series of all time. F9 will open in theatres worldwide in April 2021, and an official soundtrack companion will also arrive via Atlantic that same month.

In the meantime, “THE ROAD TO F9” will carry on the Fast Saga’s long history of equally explosive musical releases with a collection of all-new tracks inspired by the hugely popular film series. Coming soon, “THE ROAD TO F9” kicks off with today’s premiere of YoungBoy Never Broke Again Featuring Lil Baby’s spectacular single, “One Shot,” available now at all DSPs and streaming services; the single is joined by an exclusive official visualizer, streaming now via YouTube.

“THE ROAD TO F9” continues the blockbuster partnership between Atlantic Records and Universal Pictures forged on two previous FAST & FURIOUS soundtrack releases, including 2017’s “THE FATE OF THE FURIOUS: THE ALBUM“ and 2015’s worldwide smash, “FURIOUS 7: ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK.” The latter collection reached #1 on the SoundScan/Billboard 200and the iTunes Store’s overall “Top Albums” chart in 77 countries, fueled in part by Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s history-making hit single, “See You Again.” Currently certified 11x platinum by the RIAA, “See You Again” proved one of the decade’s biggest singles, topping Billboard’s “Hot 100” for a stunning 12 weeks while also reaching #1 in 13 additional countries around the world. In addition, the song’s deeply touching companion video now exceeds 4.5 billion individual views – the first-ever hip-hop video to achieve the billion-view milestone and YouTube’s fourth most viewed video of all time.
