IN PHOTOS: Noel Cabangon showcases the beauty of OPM in ‘Himig ng Pag-ibig’ concert

When it comes to finding great Original Pilipino Music (OPM), you should look no further than the classics. From Apo Hiking Society’s emotional single “Batang Bata Ka Pa” to Freddie Aguilar’s anthemic song “Anak”, music enthusiasts have a plethora of amazing local songs to listen to. And among this exceptional selection of tracks is the talented singer-songwriter, Noel Cabangon.

Last February 13, 2019, the ‘Kanlungan’ singer showcased his musical prowess in his “Himig ng Aking Pag-ibig” concert at the Music Museum. Complete with a set list of iconic OPM songs and stellar guests, the concert showed fans how Cabangon continues to be one of the best local artists we have today.

In case you missed his pre-Valentine’s Day concert, here are some highlights from that evening:

Noel Cabangon showed that there is love and hope in music

Considering that the concert happened the night before Valentine’s Day, Noel Cabangon took this opportunity to thank the woman whom he calls his “North Star.” In doing this, he sang Elton John’s “Your Song” and handed over a bouquet of flowers to his wife in the crowd.

Finally, he ended the night asking concertgoers to raise their right hands mid-song and make a promise to continue being concerned citizens for the country.
