Halsey’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour is a masterpiece for her fanbase

Just this August 10, 2018, the “Bad at Love,” electro-pop singer made her last stop in Manila for her Hopeless Fountain Kingdom World Tour. Despite the bad weather and the usual Friday night traffic, fans flocked to the stadium to see her perform live for the first time.

It was a night filled with 90s-inspired OOTDs, dyed hair and love. The show started off with an opening act by Indonesian R&B singer, NIKI. She began her set with a few songs from her latest album, “Zephyr.”

The night got more intense when Kia Theatre was finally filled with red and blue strobing lights; you could hear nothing, but the screams of diehard fans waiting for their Queen to show up on the stage.

As an artist, Halsey has been known for her creative vision and you could definitely see it with how visually stunning the stage set-up was. A linen backdrop where all you could see was her silhouette was all it took to entice the crowd.

She began with a set of originals, beginning with her opening track, “Eyes Closed”. Right before the chorus, they finally dropped the curtain revealing Halsey, which included two giant screens.

And that’s when the crowd became even more excited.

No need for flashy props, “stage presence” is key

Throughout the show, Halsey only wore a shirt, ripped stockings, and combat boots.

On her next set, she performed some of her songs from the album Badlands, like “Gasoline,” “Castle,” “Ghost” and “Colors.”

Halsey rules her world, and her show emphasized that

The Hopeless Fountain Kingdom transported all of us to her world, wherein she thoughtfully put effort into details that she’d want you to appreciate as well.

Towards the end of the show, Halsey left a very heartwarming message that made her fans teary-eyed, “I remember having you know, a couple of thousands of followers and fans. For as long as I can remember, I had always have a Halsey Philippines fan account. It’s one of the oldest fan accounts that I can remember. So I actually take it back, you guys have been with me since the beginning.”

It has been 3 days since the concert and fans still couldn’t get over it!
