Mr . Jeffrey Ng , President of the University of the Philippines School of Economics Alumni Association ( UPSEAA) , announced the launching of the Distinguished Service Awards Dinner to be held on May 9 at 7pm at the Manila Golf and Country Club , Harvard Road, Forbes Park, Makati City . This is a new program of the UPSEAA to award and acknowledge UPSE alumni for their achievements in rendering distinguished service in their respective fields .
For the initial awarding ceremony , BSP Governor Nestor Espenilla Jr. ( BSBE, 1980, Magna Cum Laude) is the guest speaker and will deliver a major policy speech , after which he will present the UPSE Carabull Trophy to two UPSE alumni who have served loyally and with full dedication in the Government service . The awardees are Dept. of Finance Undersecretary Gil Beltran (AB Econ, 1977) and NEDA Undersecretary Rolando Tungpalan ( AB Econ, 1978) . Gov. Espenilla will also induct the members of the 2018 Board of Trustees of UPSEAA.
The rest of the evening will be fellowship and networking for all the guests to inter-act with each other. The event is open to all professionals who are interested . Tickets to the event costing P2,500 includes dinner , socials, and raffle prizes consisting of two Gift Certificates for free overnight stay at ASTORIA PALAWAN and two one year free membership at the South Forbes Golf & Country Club in Silang, Cavite.
