People poke fun at these social media influencers’ paid ads gone wrong

Endorsers and “influencers” these days are paid by brands to promote certain products and services through social media posts. While likes and shares increase engagement and online presence, “virality” doesn’t always equate to sales and return on investment for brands. The thing is, sometimes, online posts by these influencers go viral for the wrong reasons.

Three paid posts on Instagram by bloggers and influencers are recently getting roasted online for the hilariously inappropriate placement of brands on their photos. Travel, lifestyle, and beauty bloggers Vern and Verniece Enciso shared a photo in the middle of snowy Finland — with a mall’s “advantage card.” Like “Mayong Bulkan” that can be moved from Legazpi to Naga, people are asking if the mall suddenly moved to Finland or opened a new branch there.

People poked fun at the paid post saying snow is now available at the mall’s supermarket.

Along with Vern’s post, Twitter user @haidefinition also shared Cha Ocampo’s photo where she is seen promoting a brandy while visibly having waffles and milkshake — not really a good match if you’re actually a drinker of liquor.

People voted who their “fighter” is between the two: one who’s casually taking out her advantage card in the snow, or the other one who’s drinking brandy with waffles as pulutan and milkshake as chaser.

People on Twitter can be both funny and savage but they also give out the best advise.

Who’s your fighter between the two?
