Winning the hearts of young aspiring musicians and music lovers across the country, Reese Lansangan has definitely taken the Indie Pop Genre by storm. At 27, she has become one of the top Filipino music artists in 2017, with rising followings on YouTube and Spotify and growing appeal to the millennial audience with her music and relatable lyrics, making her the perfect choice to be one of the faces of Ford Philippines’ latest campaign, “Creative BLK.”

On her website, Reese describes herself as a “singer-songwriter, musician, visual artist, graphic designer, fashion designer, and published author – all rolled into one convenient sushi.” Her first love is music, and with songwriting, she believes she’s able to tell her story. Her latest album “Of Sound & Memory” features 4 tracks, with commentaries per track and a “behind the album” track.

Her creative work is heavily influenced by her childhood experiences, science, Asian iconography, and pop culture, branded with a hint of humor. In both her art and music, she is keen on dissecting and shedding light to everyday phenomena that are commonly overlooked.

A multi-awarded creative, Reese has received honors for her work in art, design, fashion, writing, and music. She has also collaborated with local and international brands to bring to life her outstanding work and the many inspirations behind it.

As a true millennial musician, Reese was an easy choice to represent her generation as the face of Ford Philippines’ Creative BLK.

Creative BLK: Taking millennials to live their passions

The Creative BLK (“creative block”) campaign seeks to take creative millennials to where they’ll be more in-sync with their passions. It is Ford’s way of connecting with the Filipino youth with powerful visual storytelling through a series of videos that showcase how the Ford EcoSport can take millennials to their own Creative BLK, which can refer to any place where they can be inspired to pursue and live their creative passions and interests. Creative BLK will feature Filipino millennials who are making waves in music, culinary arts, and photography.

The Ford EcoSport has steadily attracted the younger audience with its sporty look and practical features and capabilities, perfect for an urban driving experience.

“We are taking a bold move with Creative BLK when it comes to storytelling as it gives more focus to people and their lifestyles with our vehicles as enablers. We’re very happy to be associated with creative and passionate individuals in this campaign and resonate with our audience in a manner that’s inspiring and relatable,” said Prudz Castillo, AVP for Marketing, Ford Philippines. “We are off to a great start with Reese representing millennials who are always on the lookout for inspiration when it comes to expressing their feelings though music.” “I’m very excited with this partnership with Ford as I look at this as another creative outlet to share my story aside from the music I make. I believe that all of us have our own creative side, so knowing where our Creative BLKs are can help us overcome the challenges and struggles that come with pursuing our passions,” shared Reese. “Driving around to places gets me to my Creative BLK and gives me the inspiration that I need in making music that people can relate to and find inspiration from.”
