The month of October marks Musikaramay’s 4th year anniversary. Musikaramay or “musika na nakikiramay” is a community of people in the music industry wanting to be real life superheroes through music.
Also known as “busking for a cause”, Musikaramay goes around the metro setting up in public places to play for their chosen beneficiary. In 4 years, they have raised funds for the following:
- Yolanda Survivors in Palo, Leyte
- Rehabilitation for Zamboanga Children
- SAF 44
- Kids with cancer at the National Children’s Hospital
- Raincoats, boots and umbrella donations to indigenous kids in Subic
As of the moment, Musikaramay has 20 scholars at the Blessed Ville Special School in Cavite, supported by the donations which came from their performances in the streets of Manila.
In celebration of their 4th year anniversary, Musikaramay has organized two fundraising events, the first of which is the Musikaramay Anniversary Concert on October 24, 2017 at the Music Hall in Metrowalk Ortigas.
This night of music and sharing will be filled with performances from some of the top OPM artists in the industry today. OPM icons such as South Border and Side A will be highlighting the event. Tawag ng Tanghalan finalist, Eumee Capile, wlll also be showcasing her vocal prowess. Musikaramay founders and Viva artists, Climax, will also be performing songs from their upcoming album. ROUGE, GILT, CHNDTR, The Storyteller Project, Lexy, About Radio, Blue Ketchup, Sounds of Lourdes Band (S.O.L.B.), Based On Jazz Ug Main The Now, Pido, Ava Jugueta, Diana D., and Crib will be sharing their talents as well. Show starts at 6PM.
With the essence of Bayanihan coming to life again, Billboard PH, Lyric, INQUIRER.net, InqPOP!, Rotary Club of Sta. Mesa, Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-aawit (OPM), Glutamax Men, Nice Coffee, and Alagang Kapatid Foundation have chosen to join in this advocacy.
Tickets are at P600 each and will be for the benefit of:
- Kids with Cancer at the National Children’s Hospital
- Blessed Ville Special School in Cavite
- Kids from Marawi (they will be selling products they’ve made)
