Singer and rapper Bad Bunny announced that he is having his first concert residency in Puerto Rico.
Later this year, the Grammy winner will be performing 21 shows at the Coliseo de Puerto Rio José Miguel Areglot, following the release of his sixth studio album, “Debí Tirar Más Fotos.”
The singer explained through a video on Instagram that he plans on staying in his hometown for the time being.
“For now, I am in Puerto Rico. I am at home and I am having a good time and if I am honest, I do not want to leave here,” he stated, explaining the title of his residency “No me quiero ir de aquí” (I do not want to leave here).
Only Puerto Ricans are permitted to attend the first nine shows, and tickets will go on sale in person starting on Wednesday. There is a catch though, as tickets for the remaining performances will go on sale online starting on Tuesday.
When registering for the pre-sale of his residency, customers will be required to complete a brief quiz that Bad Bunny has set up in an effort to give true fans a greater chance of obtaining tickets.
With this, only “true fans” would be the ones who would be able to answer the quiz’s particular questions about the artist’s music.
Many, including fans of other artists, were amused by this unique process and even expressed a desire for it to be implemented for their own idols’ concert ticket sales.

Bad Bunny’s residency will take place at a location known to Puerto Ricans as “El Choli,” the largest indoor entertainment stadium on the island with space for over 18,000 people, from July 11 to August 24 this year.
His most recent album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, which translates to “I should have taken more photos,” was released last week and debuted at No.1 on the Billboard top streaming albums chart and No. 2 on the Billboard top 200 chart, making it the artist’s seventh top 10-charting LP.
