Streamer Kaitlyn Siragusa, popularly known by her stage name Amouranth, was permanently banned from YouTube as a result of controversy around “sexual content” connected to her ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) videos.
She complained about the issue in a post on X (formerly Twitter), saying that her channel had yet to be targeted or given any notice before the ban was put in place.

Her personal YouTube channel, which had no material and was only used to access YouTube Premium, was also deleted, and she found this confusing because the channel was only a membership account.
The streamer is now in a challenging situation due to the deactivation of both channels, as she must deal with YouTube’s decisions and how they affect her online visibility.
In August 2024, she was banned for the same reason, but it was only a temporary suspension.
In her X post, she disclosed that the channel had been removed, and she expressed confusion, saying she was merely “brushing the mic with a paintbrush.”
ASMR content frequently creates calming or tingling noises to relax viewers. However, because these videos can occasionally be reported for being suggestive, they may not comply with YouTube’s content restrictions.
The social media platform’s official support team replied to Amouranth’s post, stating that “the termination was correct” and provided a link to the platform’s guidelines regarding nudity and sexual content.
YouTube guidelines state that “videos containing fetish content will be removed or age-restricted. In most cases, violent, graphic, or humiliating fetishes are not allowed.” and this is the case with the majority of her videos.
Amouranth still has a sizable fan base on other websites, such as Kick, where she has 246,000 followers, and Twitch, where she dances, does ASMR, and posts content that is NSFW (Not Safe For Work) and has 6.3 million.
She is also well-known for her cosplay, in which she dresses up as comic book, movie, and video game characters and makes explicit content for OnlyFans.
While she tries to fix the problems with YouTube, these platforms give her a backup way to continue creating material.
