Although many internet users were not happy with his commentary, some of them came to his defense on what he said in the video.

Upon facing backlash, the video about his commentary seems to be deleted from his TikTok account.

The TikTok influencer has since issued an apology in another video post. “Hi. So the other day, I posted a video about West Philippine Sea and making a joke out of it without actually realizing that I’m being insensitive. And for that I apologize,” he stated.

He continued his statement and said, “I’m so sorry from the bottom of my heart. I honestly thought that I was just giving good vibes but I wasn’t. I was just literally being insensitive.”

“I made a mistake. I can’t promise to you guys I won’t be making mistakes or any mistakes in the future but what I can promise is I’m gonna be more sensitive especially with sensitive topics like this. Again, I’m sorry,” he ended his statement.
