K-fans react to Hanteo Awards attendee’s alleged ‘💩’ confession that caused a stir at venue

The 2024 Hanteo Music Awards became the subject of widespread controversy after an incident occurred during the event on February 18, 2024. The “person who pooped” swiftly became a trending tweet on X (formally Twitter).

Attendees were said to be confronted with an undesirable odor that permeated the venue, leading to visible reactions from artists and audience members. Despite the attempted actions to address the matter, the source of the odor remained unresolved, resulting in discomfort for those in attendance.

However, after the event, a social media user with the username @/sunyeo511698vip confessed on Twitter, taking responsibility for the incident and apologizing to those affected. As he expressed regret, he promised to cover any laundry expenses for those who need it.

“Hello. I am the person who pooped their pants at the Hanteo Music Awards… I realized that many people had suffered because of me as I looked through Twitter. I’m sorry for inconveniencing many people. I will remember today’s incident and reflect. I’m sorry once more [for ruining] a good day,” the user stated.

While responses from social media users varied, with some finding humor and stating that this would be part of K-Pop history, others stressed the importance of personal health awareness before attending such public events.

Speculations also arose about the incident’s authenticity and the person who confessed, as some pointed out the prior social media activity allegedly hinting at the event.
