Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul is definitely one of NCT and WayV’s it boys.
On February 13, 2024 at 6 P.M. KST, Ten dropped his self-titled solo debut record “TEN” on all streaming platforms. The music video for the mini album’s title track “Nightwalker” was also released on YouTube.
Ten is the second member of NCT to officially debut as a solo artist with his own EP, following NCT’s leader Taeyong and his first solo mini album, “SHALALA.”
“TEN” is a full-English record with 6 tracks of varying genres—from Latin Pop, Pop Punk, Hip Hop, and Pop. Ten was heavily involved with the production and conception of his solo mini album, having started the planning over a year ago.
In his press conference for his solo debut, Ten said, “I’ve waited for this moment for so long. I put my own ideas, including the album concept, into this album after thorough and continuous discussion with the staff of my agency. So, I was able to enjoy every process of coming up with this solo album.”
Ten also shared that other SM Entertainment solo artists such as TVXQ’s Yunho and NCT’s Taeyong gave him advice whilst preparing for his own debut. “They said that I should do what I want. They told me to focus on making an album about myself. They did not tell me what to do but rather told me that I would be able to present a good album when I do what I want to do.”
Prior to the release of his mini album, Ten had previously dropped a track video for one of his tracks, “Lie With You”, and a Performance Film titled “10.”
The EP’s title track, “Nightwalker” is a pop dance song that Ten described as “addictive.” “It has a mystic yet charming melody and it’s about a seductive character who has the power to hypnotize people.”
Fans of Ten (10velys) and his fellow NCT and WayV members were quick to shower Ten with much deserved praise and raved about his new album.
