YouTube icon Pewdiepie embarks on a ‘side quest,’ discovers the joy of drawing

On January 31, PewDiePie surprised everyone by revealing his hidden talent: drawing. Back in November 23, 2023, the content creator announced his quest to become an artist.

PewDiePie (a.k.a. Felix), known for his humorous and skillful gameplay and once the most subscribed content creator on YouTube, posted a video titled “I Drew Every Day for 100 Days!” expressing how much he actually liked drawing but was not able to practice it, thus, decided to try and draw every day for 30 days.

The video shows the YouTube star documenting his artistic journey, filling several pages with realistic and anime-inspired artwork while he explores his own style.

In the clip, the Swedish YouTuber said, “So, one of my last videos, I did was I learned a new thing every day for seven days. So, I spent one day trying to learn one thing. And it was really fun! It got me itching to wanting to learn more things. And I thought, ‘What if I do it for a longer time? What if I learn to draw?’ Then I can compare what I drew at the beginning and then compare it with the end, and be like, ‘Wow!’ At least, that’s what you want to see. Right?”

However, things took a turn when he found the joy of drawing during his 30-day challenge of making art every day, and with the unwavering support of his fans, he then decided to extend it to an impressive 100 days.

Furthermore, Pewdiepie claimed that despite the feeling of just embarrassing himself, he still decided to post the video of his journey.

The internet then swiftly praised the creator and claimed he could be an artist, astounded at how quickly he had improved his sketching skills.

Furthermore, they also asserted that he is the best role model for this generation due to his physical transformation, becoming a dad, and artistic endeavors.

Pewdipie’s long-awaited return to YouTube was greatly anticipated. The YouTuber and his wife, Marzia, had a kid, and he has since stopped creating content and has not uploaded daily for a few years now.

While his artistic development in earlier videos had already taken viewers by shock, the reaction to this one is expected to surpass it since it has trended on X (formerly Twitter) and has over 1.7 million views on YouTube in just a day.
