EcoSync, a team of fourth-year tourism students from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, is spearheading a free groundbreaking two-day international conference on January 10-11 at PUP Bulwagang Balagtas. The event, titled “Symphonies of Cultural and Economic Being: Geared Conferences 2024 – Uniting Cultures and Sustaining Futures” aims to focus on showcasing the significance of cultural diversities, highlighting the value inherent in shared heritage, and motivating individuals in moving towards a more sustainable future.

The hybrid conference will blend Heritage Tourism and ECOVIP, creating a harmonious symphony that resonates with the dual objectives of celebrating culture and promoting sustainability. Esteemed speakers from different countries, including the Philippines, South Korea, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Malaysia have been invited to foster an conducive atmosphere for learning and cultivating a community that will become a catalyst for positive change.

The event’s first day, titled “Global Threads: A Global Solidarity Conference” commences with an enlightening forum on culture, heritage, and sustainability. This inaugural day is carefully crafted to bring together nations across Asia, providing a platform for meaningful discussions on their cultural heritages.

The afternoon segment features a competition named “Legacy in Lenses: International Heritage Promotional Video Competition.” where participants are encouraged to delve deeply into the exploration of unique traditions, customs, and historical narratives that collectively shape the identity of their own country through a five-minute promotional video. Prizes start from P1,500 for the second runner-ups to P7,500 for champions. As the conference unfolds, attendees will embark on a journey that not only highlights the diversity of cultural heritage but also underscores the significance of preserving and promoting these invaluable aspects of our shared human legacy.

Undertaking on second day is an event titled “ECOENTREFUTURE: An ECOViP Conference where Sustainability Meets Innovation for Entrepreneurial Success”. The conference, through the ECOVIP Initiative by Erasmus +, aims to provide a platform fostering collaboration and partnerships among universities, organizations, and entrepreneurs. The overarching objective is to enlighten and engage the youth, local and international universities, faculties, organizations, entrepreneurs, and experts in the talks of sustainable future. The afternoon segment highlights a contest titled “Ecopreneur: Leading the Way in Eco-Innovation and Sustainable Living” aims to transition diverse sustainable ideas within the general public into viable business opportunities. Prizes start from P1,500 for the second runner-ups to P7,500 for champions. It encourages all of the delegates to view themselves not only as business owners but as entrepreneurs, inspiring innovation and transforming boundaries of conventional business thinking into sustainable living.
