NCT 127 wants you to ‘check the facts’ in swag MV for ‘Fact Check’

NCT’s leader Taeyong was right—this is NCT 127’s “most NCT 127-esque” song and album yet.

On October 6, 2023, at 1 P.M. KST, NCT 127 made their powerful comeback with their 5th studio album, “Fact Check,” along with the music video for their title track of the same name 2 hours later. This was their second comeback of the year, following the release of the repackaged version of their 4th studio album, “Ay-Yo” in February.

The album was described by NCT 127 themselves as an album that captures the vitality and essence of Seoul, South Korea. According to member Mark in their press conference for the album’s release, “We aimed to encapsulate the richness of Seoul with our new album…As can be seen from our team name, our root is in Seoul. We want to solidify our identity this time, showing how we can harmonize with the city.”

This can be seen from their teaser images and their cinematic “Deities of Seoul” clip.

“Fact Check” features 9 tracks, with the participation of members Taeyong, Taeil, and Mark for some of the tracks. The track video for the song “Angel Eyes” was released 4 days prior, where the members were seen singing with the Han River as their background. The album’s title track, “Fact Check,” is an intense track blending synth rhythms and afro-beat sounds that expresses the group’s confidence in their performance.

Leader Taeyong had created the choreography for the track, which according to the members, “had surpassed the original version.” “He exuded confidence and I thought it was really cool. Our leader, who knows each of us very well, came up with the dance moves that perfectly match our styles.” Said Haechan.

The music video for “Fact Check” sees the different NCT 127 members in iconic spots in Seoul—Gyeongbokgung Palace, Yeouido, Incheon Bridge, and more.

NCTzens praised NCT 127 and their newest album, where each track did not miss in hitting musical excellence. Despite “Fact Check” being an easier track to listen to, as mentioned by one of the members during their showcase, the group made sure that it was a “product of their resolute dedication.”

Once again, thank you for the newest album, our NCT 127! World tour soon, please?
