BlockBerry Creative says ‘they have no intention of giving up’ following lawsuit losses against LOONA members

When will BlockBerry Creative stop being delulu?

South Korean media outlets reported on October 3, 2023 that BlockBerry Creative “has no intention of giving up” their lawsuits against the LOONA members—HeeJin, Hyunjin, HaSeul, YeoJin, Vivi, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, Yves, Chuu, Gowon, and Hye Ju (formerly known as Olivia Hye).

Throughout 2023, LOONA’s former agency had filed lawsuits against them in order to restrict their activities in the entertainment agency. Unfortunately for them, the Seoul High Court have ruled in favor of the members and had granted them the termination of their exclusive contracts with BlockBerry Creative, as well as the continuation of their activities under their current agencies.

However, it seems that BlockBerry Creative still isn’t backing down, or giving up (on a lost cause, imo).

Since November 2022, BlockBerry Creative has had the agenda of holding the LOONA members under their control—beginning with their expulsion of Chuu (LOONA OT12) by saying that she had abused her power over LOONA’s staff. At the time, LOONA had a comeback lined up, which had been postponed indefinitely due to problems arising with the contracts of the members with BlockBerry Creative.

Following their win, Chuu had signed with ATRP, who had produced the groups B1A4, Oh My Girl, and ONF. HeeJin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, Choerry, and HaSeul have all signed with Modhaus under the direction of Jung Byeong-ki, who had participated in LOONA’s earlier production. YeoJin, Hyunjin, Vivi, Gowon, and HyeJu have all signed with CTD&M, with the direction of Yoon Do-yeon, who had managed LOONA in the past.

Currently, BlockBerry Creative is said to be “trying to turn the issue around the original lawsuit,” and is also appealing their loss from their lawsuit against Chuu. At the same time, the agency’s second big lawsuit is also ongoing at the Seoul Northern District Court, and their second hearing date for the contract invalidity lawsuit by HeeJin, Jinsoul, Kim Lip, and Choerry is set for November 16, 2023.

Orbits have quite a lot of feelings towards BlockBerry Creative. And who wouldn’t have them, considering the amount of hardships the agency has put the girls through?

LOONA, fighting! We’ll always have your back, Orbit or not.
