Drag queen Turing Quinto asks fans to stop tagging her in Cherry Pie Picache’s ABS-CBN Ball pic

The recently held ABS-CBN Ball was indeed a beautiful and glamorous night but one photo from the event has gotten more attention from social media users.

Many drag fans have particularly poked fun at award-winning actress Cherry Pie Picache’s snap at the said event, tagging Filipino drag queen Turing Quinto due to her ‘resemblance’ with the actress.

Such buzz caught the drag performer’s attention, prompting her to jump in the comments, saying, “HUUUUYYYYY INAANYO! Nakakahiya na! Hahahahahahaha Di pa kami nagmimeet ni ms. cherrypie, BAKA LALONG HINDI MATULOY! Stttaaaaahhhpppp! [Hey, it’s embarrassing. Ms. Cherrypie and I haven’t met yet. It might not happen at all. Stop!]”

Although Turing was a good sport about it all, she couldn’t help but feel a little shy over the attention being directed at her because of the photo.

The actress has not yet commented about her being mistaken as a drag performer.

Due to the incessant tagging, Turing has had to post on her Facebook account, asking people to stop tagging her in the post that ABS-CBN made.

The post reads: Huuuyyy… Tama na ang tags sakin. nahihiya na ko kay ms. cherrypie. 🥺 [Hey… Stop tagging me. I’m getting embarrassed.]

Turing has been a professional drag artist for more than seven years, performing in one of the most known drag bars here in the country, O-Bar. She is a Broadway fan and a theater kid who used to be a cheerleader in college.

The drag artist is known in the drag world as a fierce dancer and a lip-sync slayer. She stated that drag has made her feel more comfortable in her own skin and is a strong advocate for body positivity.
