Pinoy rock band Dilaw holds ‘Di Ilaw sa Gabing Mapanglaw,’ featuring stripped-down versions of their songs

Rock band Dilaw held their exclusive show on October 3 at the Teatrino Promenade in Greenhills performing stripped-down versions of their songs.

Among the songs from their set list are 3019, Maskara, their hit single “Uhaw,” “Sansinukob,” and their latest release, “Orasa.”

Aside from their songs, they also performed a cover of singer Unique Salonga’s song Good Night Prayer. Some of the tracks were performed alongside a string orchestra that amplified the beautiful lyrics of their compositions even more.

The night emulated a chill vibe as if you are having a fun night with your friends. The audience was also vibing with them and even sang along with some of the songs they performed. They were also filled with gratitude as they thanked everyone who had attended and supported the event.

In their true spirit, they took photos and videos with the attendees and interacted with them after the show. Despite their fame, they never let that get to their heads as it is evident in the gestures they showed that night.

Dilaw started as a duo putting out songs through playing bar gigs and busking wherever they could in the city of Baguio. Now a six-piece band, they have caught people’s attention with rap-infused songs packed with social commentary.

The band is now rounded up by Dilaw Obero on vocals, siblings Leon aRond En Altomonte on guitars and keys, Vie Dela Rosa’s brother, Wayne Dela Rosa on bass, and Tobi Samson on drums. They had been already playing together whenever Obero and Vie’s gigs called for a full band and each member knew what the songs needed so transitioning from a duo to a six-piece band felt very natural.

“Di Ilaw sa Gabing Mapanglaw” is made possible by Warner Music Philippines.
