‘Gods of society’: Influencer who flew business class for the first time shares the shocking luxuries of rich people

Influencer and makeup artist Kylee Fleek took to TikTok to document his first-ever experience of flying business class and staying in an expensive hotel, revealing how rich people live and how regular people treat them.

He posted the video where he shared that his flight to Sydney, Australia was courtesy of some cosmetics brands. Fleek told viewers that he “came from nothing” and that it was a “crazy” experience to be sitting in the business class section.

He expressed his shock over the minor yet extraordinary amenities in his seat that aren’t offered in economy class, such as a small footrest for added comfort, a television screen that was attached to the seat in front of him, and a set of buttons that utterly confused him.

“I don’t belong here. My ancestors are freaking out,” he joked. “But I love this.”

Fleeks’ excitement didn’t end with the flight. In another TikTok video he posted, captioned, “more rich people bulls***,” he recorded his experience with his hotel room service.

He had a “WTF is that?” moment upon seeing his tomato soup that appeared to be a bowl that contained a small amount of green leaves and chopped tomatoes. He then revealed that the soup came in a steel jug, saying that his trips like these always leave him confused.

Recalling the small tray he saw on the plane, he shared that it was apparently for champagne. “Of course, it is,” he said mockingly with a posh accent.

He said he had been offered a damp hot towel during his flight. Someone told him that it was supposed to be used to wipe his face, and was baffled at the fact, saying, “Why do rich people…why would you wipe…”

“It’s just a bunch of little shit that I don’t get. But I’ll get there,” he said.

While other viewers were supportive that he deserved the experience, the majority were entertained by his mockery, even agreeing that these luxuries seem absurd.

One commenter wrote, “Rich people have to constantly be treated like they’re at a child’s birthday party,” which garnered over 200,000 likes.

In a report, Fleek said that it felt “wild” to be at the receiving end of those things, sharing that he was ultimately shocked that “people actually live like this” and was given “polite, quick, and caring” treatment as if they were the “Gods of our society.”

Although we commonly see that the rich are treated that way in movies, Fleek claimed that it was “real,” and experiencing it firsthand was different, especially if you were brought up in lower-class circumstances.

“I always thought I wanted to be rich and live the high life,” he said. “But it is so different and completely disconnected from how I was raised and where I’m from. I don’t think I’d like it.”
