‘Barbie’ actor Margot Robbie is said to have implemented a ‘pink dress code’ once a week during the production of the movie, where violators would be fined, said co-star Ryan Gosling in an interview with PEOPLE.
According to Gosling, who played Ken, “Margot had this pink day once a week, where everyone had to wear something pink. And if you didn’t, you were fined.”
He shared that Robbie would go around the set and would collect fines which were said to have been donated to a charity.
However, people online were divided over their opinion towards Robbie’s decision to implement such a rule and collect a fine for those who didn’t conform.

The crew might actually have been happy about it. Gosling shared that “what was really special was just how excited the male crew members were,” and at the end of the production, “they all got together and, with their own money, made pink crew shirts with rainbow fringe,” he said.
Gosling added, “It was this opportunity for them to show their respect and admiration for what Margot and [director] Greta [Gerwig] were creating.”
