HONNE electrifies Manila during day 1 of the Philippine leg of their Asia tour

On May 10, HONNE met their Filipino fans again as they performed for day 1 of the Philippine leg of their world tour, which was held the Araneta Coliseum.

Before James Hatcher and Andy Clutterbuck opened the show with ‘IDGAF ABOUT PAIN,’ an iconic logo from their 2018 album ‘Love Me/Love Me Not’ flashed on the background, which raised the excitement of the crowd.

The duo were greeted by thousands of Filipino fans as they performed some of their greatest hits. When they performed their 2020 track ‘Free Love,’ the crowd went loud like a ‘choir’ singing the whole chorus. (In their press conference held a day before their concert, they mentioned that the word ‘choir’ comes to mind whenever they think about the Philippine crowd.) The Filipino fans sang their whole hearts out, which is proof to what HONNE had said.

Independent artist BEKA also joined to perform some of the duo’s collaborative songs like ‘Location Unknown’, ‘COMING HOME,’ ‘Crying Over You,’ ‘Someone That Loves You,’ and ‘BACK ON TOP.’

There were also mellow moments during the concert. Andy told of the love story he is having with his wife back in London. After that, he sang a song dedicated to the latter, ‘by my side.’

The crowd became a ‘choir’ once again with their debut song, Warm On A Cold Night. The duo acted as chorale maestros when they let the crowd sing ‘Warm on a cold night.’

HONNE and the rest returned to the stage to perform the 2020 track ‘no song without you.’

Andy, on behalf of all of them, claimed that in this part of the tour they can say that they were a ‘proper band.’

“Hey! Before we start the last song, I just wanna say that I’m someone that suffers with impostor syndrome,” said Clutterbuck. “For the first time we feel like a ‘proper band’.”

Then they performed “Day 1”, symbolizing their adoration for the fans. A confetti was thrown over the fans during the last part of the song. After that, the duo promised that they will come back here in the Philippines.

HONNE Live In Manila is presented by Ovation Productions.
