Were you there when the ‘AlDub nation’ started venturing into uncharted waters?
Well, it hasn’t really stopped.
Fans of the renowned Filipino love team ‘AlDub,’ coined after Alden and Yaya Dub (Maine’s stage character) names, are calling on a boycott of the popular noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga!’ due to the show “allegedly” deliberately separating the two aforementioned personalities. Members of the ‘AlDub nation’ have made the hashtag ‘#BOYCOTTEBxGMA732’ (and more, actually) trend on Twitter yesterday, and are “asking for the truth”.
So what is their truth? According to AlDub Nation, Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza are actually in a reel to real relationship. AlDub nation is also collectively saying “NO TO SOLO PROJECTS” for both Richards and Mendoza.
The tweets in and around of the this hashtag are just…we really don’t have any words.
Maine Mendoza herself has debunked all these allegations years ago by coming out with her relationship with now-fiancé Arjo Atayde in 2019. The couple got engaged on July 28, 2022, much to the surprise of many.

In the part of Alden Richards, the most that the public knows about his personal life is that he had almost dated actresses Winwyn Marquez and Julie Anne San Jose in the past.
Do you agree with what the ‘AlDub nation’ is asking for? Are they in the right for this? Should Eat Bulaga! answer to the cries of the ‘AlDub nation’? Why are Filipinos so invested in this? Help.
