All BLACKPINK members have their own solo songs now.
On March 31, 2023 at 1 P.M. KST, BLACKPINK member Jisoo finally made her solo debut with her single album titled, “ME.” She had also released the music video for her title track, “FLOWER.” As of writing, the music video had reached 15 million views and 2.8 million likes (update: MV now has 66 million views with 6.5 million likes).
Jisoo is the last member of BLACKPINK to release her solo single album.
Her single album. “ME”, includes the title track, “FLOWER” and another song titled, “All Eyes on Me.” “FLOWER” was composed by 24, VVN, and KUSH, and its lyrics were written by Vince, Teddy, VVN, and KUSH. The song is described on Soompi as a “dreamy dance track with sentimental lyrics and a beautiful melody line.”
The music video for “FLOWER” was reported to have the highest production budget to have ever been invested by YG Entertainment into a BLACKPINK music video. Jisoo’s solo album was also reported to have broken the records for the highest number of pre-orders achieved by any female K-Pop soloist in history, going over 950,000 stock pre-orders.
‘ME’ by Jisoo has already earned the biggest first day debut in Hanteo history by a female soloist with over 850k copies sold.
