Oh say it, ditto! K-Pop’s fastest girl group to win a Daesang has finally dropped their pre-release single!
On December 19, 2022 at 6 P.M. KST, ADOR released the pre-release single of NewJeans’ upcoming single album, “OMG”, which will be released on January 2, 2022. The pre-release is titled, “Ditto”, and was released with two different music videos—Side A and Side B. (Think of a cassette tape, cool reference tho)
ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin briefly commented to South Korean media outlets regarding NewJeans’ upcoming music releases last December 10, 2022, stating that “if the debut album showcased NewJeans’ summer, this single album will be the one that showcases NewJeans’ winter”.
“Ditto” is a reinterpretation of the Baltimore Club Dance genre with NewJeans’ vocal color, and is a song that harmonizes a warm and cozy choir sound with a classic old school drum break. Member Minji had also participated in the writing of the song’s lyrics.
Bunnies, NewJeans’ fandom, immediately raced to social media to promote the quintet in their own ways and praised the girls’ acting and music.
