Harry Styles’ ‘Music for a Sushi Restaurant’ video has fans reeling on Twitter

We may not see Harry Styles play the role of Prince Eric for The Little Mermaid live-action remake, but he still took us under the sea in the “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” music video as a brawny squid man.

On October 28 (Philippine time), the Grammy Award-winning artist released the video for his song “Music for a Sushi Restaurant,” the opening track from his third album, “Harry’s House.”

Sporting a Cast Away-style beard, the video opens with three fishermen capturing a squid man Harry and delivering him into the kitchen of Gill’s Sushi. As the restaurant’s chefs prepare for the squid man to be cooked, Styles temporarily escapes his fate to be served on a silver platter by singing his way out.

Luckily for him, he becomes the singer of the sushi restaurant, but his success is only short-lived. At the end of the four-minute video, he still becomes the restaurant’s main course.

As soon as the video dropped, Harries (Styles’ fans) were left confused and amused over the visual treatment of “Music for a Sushi Restaurant.” And in true stan Twitter fashion, many Harries took to the bird app to express their bewilderment.

Styles as the new member to join the cast of H2O: Just Add Water film? Now, that’s what we definitely want to see.

Is this “Adore You” Harry’s fate: to become a squid man? Oh, boy.

He really did live his mermaid fantasy in this music video, huh?

From Ariel and Prince Eric to King Triton and Ursula! We won’t be surprised if we see Harry turn into Flounder or Sebastian.

We may not earn ligtas points for laughing for this, but the resemblance is just… uncanny.

Even after watching the music video, many Harries (the writer included) are still processing what just happened. I mean, what did we just watch?

Styles sporting a bushy beard and being a squid man are definitely not included in our 2022 bingo card, but we’re living for it. It’s just sad that we get to witness Styles turned into mermaid sashimi, though.

“Music for a Sushi Restaurant” is the third single from his 2022 album, “Harry’s House,” which featured his singles “As It Was” and “Late Night Talking.”
