Tai Verdes drops new single ‘how deep?’ off highly anticipated album HDTV, out September 16

August 26, 2022 – Today, chart-topping singer-songwriter Tai Verdes released his new single “how deep?” off his forthcoming sophomore studio album HDTV, out September 16, 2022 – available for pre-order NOW.

“‘how deep?’ is a song that I made about not knowing anything,” said Tai. “And I hope that when people hear it, they feel lost, but also found, but also lost. Love has a tendency to make you feel like that.”

The single comes alongside a cinematic visual captured during Tai’s recent trip to Australia, featuring live performance footage from his shows in Sydney & Melbourne. The shows are part of Tai’s first-ever global headline 2022 HDTV Tour, which resumes this Fall with 30+ dates in the US and abroad. This weekend, Tai will hit the stage at Reading & Leeds Festivals and will continue his festival run with upcoming performances at Life Is Beautiful, Breakaway Festival, Austin City Limits, and more. Tai continues to build excitement amongst fans, as his highly anticipated album release approaches. Earlier this week, Tai dropped an “HDTV Special” album trailer, which sees Tai jumping into the TV, with each channel televising a different music video released over the past two years. HDTV showcases the evolution of Tai’s artistry with a genre-bending body of work featuring 20 tracks that marks a new chapter for his songwriting and eclectic sound. Previously released tracks from HDTV have notched more than 200 million streams to date, and include “Let’s go to Hell,” “LAst dAy oN EaRTh,” which debuted at #29 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Chart, “3 outfits,” “100sadsongs,” and his latest release “sheluvme,” which premiered with a television performance debut of the track on The Today Show.

HDTV is a continuation of Tai’s first studio album TV, which was released on May 20, 2021 and has gained more than 1 billion streams to date and solidified Tai as a global hitmaker. TV debuted at #3 on Billboard’s Heatseekers album chart and #5 on Spotify’s debut album chart, and includes international smash “A-O-K,” which is RIAA Certified Platinum in the US, as well as Certified Platinum in Australia, Canada and Ireland.  In addition, viral hits “Stuck In The Middle” and “DRUGS” are both RIAA Certified Gold in the US, as well as Certified Gold in Canada. These certifications solidified Tai’s spot as part of RIAA’s Class of 2021.

Three months into the COVID-19 pandemic, Tai Verdes was an essential worker with a nine-to-five job at a Verizon Wireless store. He has since amassed more than 1 billion global streams and more than 20 billion social views. NPR refers to Tai’s phenomenon as the story of: “how one musician cracked the code to going straight to the top of the charts by using one of the world’s most popular video-sharing apps.” Tai continues to garner massive critical praise as he nears the arrival of his second studio album.
