Former Star Magic actress Chantal Videla debuts as member of LAPILLUS

Momoland’s sister group, Lapillus, is finally here! This means that homegrown Filipina-Argentinian actress Chantal Videla a.k.a Chanty has now made her debut in the K-Pop industry.

On June 20, 2022, at 6 P.M. KST, Lapillus released their first single, “HIT YA!” and its accompanying music video. Consisting of six members, Bessie, Yue, Seowon, Haeun, Shana, and Chanty, Lapillus aims to represent “a gemstone that changes colors depending on the direction of the light’s reflections.”

According to member Seowon during the debut showcase, their catchphrase “Shine your Lapillus” expresses the message that everyone should find their own unique dreams.

In contrast to their fresh and flawless teaser images, the music video for “HIT YA!” showcases the colorful, vibrant, and iridescent visuals of the members as they convey their confidence and ambition to “hit” their listeners with good music. “HIT YA!” was produced by team AVEC, and has powerful 808 beats and rough electric guitar sounds.

Fans of Chanty and Lapillus all expressed their support and congratulations on the girls’ debut.

Congratulations to Chanty, and of course, to Lapillus for their successful debut!
