4th Generation K-Pop Groups keep on coming this year. This time, it’s ITZY.
On June 2, 2022, JYP Entertainment and ITZY officially announced the 5-piece girl group’s comeback plans and their first-ever world tour. All in one post. Wow.
ITZY will be releasing their fifth EP “CHECKMATE” on July 15, 2022, at 1 P.M. KST—11 months after releasing their first studio album “Crazy in Love” with the lead single “Loco”. On the same day, the 5-member group will be having their own Mnet Comeback Special Showcase at 7 P.M. KST. This release comes after their recent activities in Japan, and after their inclusion in JYP Entertainment’s partnership with Republic Records.
The girl group will also be embarking on their first-ever world tour, also titled “CHECKMATE”, starting with Seoul on August 6 and 7, 2022. After their home country, ITZY will be heading to the United States to perform in various cities throughout October and November: Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston, and New York. For now, those are the cities that ITZY will be going to for their world tour. JYP Entertainment will be announcing more cities in the future.
