‘We are Bulletproof’: BTS reveals teaser for comeback this June

Make some noise, ARMYs! Global superstars BTS (Bangtan Sonyeondan) are ready to conquer the music industry once again with their upcoming album this June!

On the last day of their “Permission to Dance: On Stage” concert at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, right when the concert ended and BTS left the stage, a teaser trailer was shown on the screen revealing the group’s comeback date. Take note that their last show in Las Vegas was also being played live in the MGM Grand Arena, and was live-streamed online across different countries, meaning that ARMYs all over the world were able to see the iconic surprise announcement from the group.

The 50-second video showed the journey and memories of BTS from their debut single, “No More Dream”, up to their most recent era, “Permission To Dance”. This was followed by a voice-over of the members saying, “We are Bulletproof”, then a BTS logo with 9 reflections which could symbolize the band’s 9th year anniversary, and ending it with the comeback date reveal: June 10, 2022.

The teaser reveal was followed by a confirmation statement from the group’s agency, Big Hit Music, which was posted on BTS’s fan community Weverse, announcing the group’s return and is looking forward to the fans’ love and support for BTS’s new album.

The month of June is perhaps the most significant time for BTS and ARMYs, as this is the month of their debut in 2013, and their debut anniversary is celebrated through a week-long series of special content and events called BTS Festa. And as the group’s new album will be released in the same month, it looks like ARMYs will be surely booked and busy throughout the entire month.

The announcement of BTS’s new album comeback definitely made ARMYs beyond emotional as this has been BTS’s longest music hiatus since their last album “BE”, which was released on November 20, 2020, and their last single “Permission To Dance” released on July 09, 2021.

Screams and cheers erupted from within the concert venue as surprised and excited ARMYs heard the news of the group’s upcoming comeback album. Watch some of the fans’ reactions here:

ARMYs definitely went through a rollercoaster of emotions with the surprise announcement, and some fans took the time to describe their feeling after more than a year of waiting, and with the overwhelming anticipation from the teaser.

The upcoming BTS album is expected to open a new chapter for the group’s journey as artists. And others already speculate that this album will be beyond emotional and meaningful, as the term “We are Bulletproof” has always been an important phrase for BTS, as their Korean name, Bangtan Sonyeondan, translates to “Bulletproof Boy Scouts”, and this album could give a special touch to the struggles the group has been through to be where they are now.

Are your emotions and playlists ready, ARMYs? Time to keep an eye out for other surprises that could drop any moment now!

The upcoming album of BTS will be released on June 10, 2022. Further information will be provided for fans by the group’s agency soon.
