ICYMI, Jollibee’s “Kwentong Jollibee Valentine Series” isn’t so jolly as it caused heartbreak among Pinoys.
Last night, Jollibee released the first two videos of a three-part series and all we could do was to lie down, swallow our feelings, and cry at the thought of “2-piece Spicy Chickenjoy with extra rice. And upgrade to Pineapple juice” and “Yumburger with sticky notes.”

1. Basically all of us after watching “Vow”:

Sadnabee!
2. After watching the video, we pretend we’re okay kahit ang sakit-sakit na.

Me: ‘Di ako iiyak!
Also me: How to stop crying, bes? ‘Yoko na.
3. We all felt betrayed because we all thought Jollibee promotes “Bida ang saya”.

Anyare, Jollibee? I trusted you!
4. The plot twist of Vow’s story was a campaign to remind us that “walang forever”!
Here comes Jollibee, once again reappearing in your timelines with a timely public service announcement: pic.twitter.com/EWUNvtrGo0

5. And we discovered a new tagline for “friendzone” because of it.
Bida ang sawi.
6. Because Jollibee knows some of us were once victims of friendzone, we became a target.
"How many of you have ever felt personally victimized by @Jollibee?" pic.twitter.com/fosv6iyIbp
— Astee Aeaea Uy (@bottomlessASTEE) February 9, 2017
I feel so violated!
7. But the truth is, nothing will hurt us more than this plot twist we sometimes experience at Jollibee:
When you come in to Jollibee expecting a thigh part versus when the clerk tells you "Ma'am/Sir, sorry po, wala na po tayong thigh part…" pic.twitter.com/o4yGS5YClX

8. Some felt like it’s just a ploy to make us eat at Jollibee.
Jollibee wants us to feel sad after watching the short film para bumili tayo ng Chickenjoy and Spaghetti to cheer ourselves. Don't us charot
— Shakira Kurosawa (@Cinephilliacy) February 9, 2017
It’s a traaaap!
9. Or that maybe it’s a plan to give millennials what they want.
Jollibee: "Bida ang saya" is kinda boring
Ad agency: "Bida ang sawi"?
Jollibee:

Because more heartbreak is what we want, don’t we?
10. But in light of all of these, as Pinoys, we still found ways to create fun out of a heartbreaking video like this alternate story of Vow.
‘Yung kamatis talaga! I kennat.
11. And this alternate reality of Ed Sheeran being Pinoy and singing about Jollibee:
"the club isn't the best place to find love and so jollibee is where I go"
if ed sheeran were pinoy, probably
— Lord Nicolas ü (@lordnicolas_) February 9, 2017
“I’m in love with the shape of you… kahit na hindi naging tayo.” Bago na ‘yung lyrics, guys!
12. This truth of what really happens when you order at Jollibee:
MA’AM PA-VOID PO!
13. This life hack that we all need more than finding “the one”.
Tipid muna, bes.
14. Jollibee’s second video “Crush” proved people behind these ads still have a heart.
Oh look, I have a heart. Thanks Jollibee.

Bumawi!
15. Jollibee broke our hearts in Vow but made us cry with kilig in Crush.

All in one day!
16. It made us believe that Yumburger, sticky notes, pen, and perseverance is all we need to make our crush ours.

17. And that it’s the best way to answer Miss Universe questions without feeling any pressure.
HOWMAYGAHD! Eto, uhm, wait!
18. Or how Derek Ramsay should’ve delivered his line in that Anti-Piracy ad.
19. But seriously, these ads didn’t only hit us right in the feels, it taught us how not to give up on those whom we love.
What hits me so hard sa "Crush" (Jollibee) is the uncertainty of pushing through w/ someone you like, not knowing if worth it ba in the end.
— Jan Angelo Ong (@Ongiel) February 9, 2017
20. And to celebrate the joy of love no matter what the circumstances are.
Thank you Jollibee for reminding us to celebrate love no matter how painful it was in the past.
— Mark Anicas (@mnanicas) February 9, 2017
We can’t wait to see the third video and how it will make us an emotional wreck again!
