MTV today announced Đông Nhi is the Best Southeast Asia Act winner for the 2016 MTV EMA, which will be broadcast live around the globe from the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands on MTV and MTV LIVE HD on Monday, 7 November at 3am (WIB) and 4am (HK/MY/PH/SG). The Best Local Act winners were selected by fans, who have visited mtvema.com. Fans voted for Đông Nhi from Vietnam, who received the highest number of votes to beat the competition, which included Bunkface (Malaysia), Gentle Bones (Singapore), Raisa (Indonesia), Sarah Geronimo (Philippines), Thaitanium (Thailand), and Yuna (Malaysia). The show repeats tonight on MTV at 8pm (WIB) and 9pm (MY/PH/SG), and on MTV LIVE HD at 8.45pm (WIB) and 9.45pm (HK/MY/PH/SG).

Vietnamese singer Đông Nhi, is the winner of The Remix 2015 competition, and said to be the EDM trendsetter in the local market. She is also the co-founder of 6th Sense Entertainment JSC.
