Cheerleading aficionados, get ready for more!
The National Cheerleading Championship (NCC), together with its official broadcast partner Solar Entertainment Corporation, is all set to deliver Season 12 of the country’s largest and most prestigious cheerleading competition. Solar Sports has been airing the NCC since last year and if its success would be any indication, the relationship will continue for the foreseeable future.
“We are extremely happy with the existing partnership between NCC and Solar as we see the potential of the sport and also how big the reach is of NCC nationwide,” said Solar Entertainment Corporation President and CEO Wilson Tieng.
This season promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with Solar Entertainment going full throttle to give the most comprehensive NCC coverage yet, with Solar Sports teaming up with ETC and Jack TV.
“To show our commitment to make the NCC bigger, we have decided to include our sister channels ETC and Jack TV to showcase a different perspective of the NCC. Each channel will have a different approach on the NCC, with Solar Sports focusing more on the competition side, ETC on lifestyle, and Jack TV highlighting the Drumline competition. It shows you how fun and dynamic the NCC is,” noted Tieng.
As mentioned, the season will witness the introduction of the Drumline competition, one of the many additions to look forward to. With the sport continuing its surge in popularity, Tieng revealed that a grander stage is in store to accommodate the fans’ appetite for cheerleading competition.
“Expect more competitive schools and cheerleaders this Season 12 as we prepare for six regional qualifiers plus a three-day Nationals at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.”
