A year ago a young kid from Scotland, Aaron Hunter, created the campaign #AaronNeedsIronMan that went viral.

Hunter is suffering from a very rare disease called ROHHAD (Rapid-Onset Obesity with Hypothalamic Dysfunction, Hypoventilation and Autonomic Dysregulation). The disease causes healthy children to dramatically gain weight within 6 to 12 months, experience hypothalamic dysfunction, slow heartbeat, and excessive sweating, among others. The cause of the disease is unknown and at the moment, there is no known cure.
To raise awareness and donations, Hunter sought out the help of his favorite superhero — Iron Man. The video posted by the official Twitter account of ROHHAD Association showed Hunter asking for Iron Man’s help. After the tweet went viral, actor Robert Downey, Jr. FaceTimed Hunter, and his foundation now supports Hunter’s charity.
But the actor decided to take it a step further. Recently, he went out of his way to visit Hunter and make his dream come true. He also launched the #GoForROHHAD challenge to raise more donations for children suffering from this rare disease in exchange for a trip to Hollywood for the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War world premiere.

Iron Man may not have the cure for Hunter’s rare disease, but that smile on the kid’s face is enough to show that he has already “cured” him.
