Thousands of mourners gathered in St. Ann’s Square for a short ceremony that included 60 seconds of silence to pay tribute to the victims of Monday’s terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert which left 22 people dead and more than 100 injured.
As the minute of silence came to an end, the crowd broke into applause. One attendee, Lydia Bernsmeier-Rullow, began singing the Oasis classic, “Don’t Look Back in Anger.” Almost immediately, the crowd — many still in tears — joined in.
