VIPs, the long wait is over: BIGBANG is coming back with a new song

It has been four years since they released their single “Flower Road” in March 2018, and fans have clamored for new music ever since. On February 7, BIGBANG’s label YG Entertainment just ended the fans’ misery as they made an official announcement that the band is set to come back with a new song, saying, “[BIGBANG] will be releasing a new song this spring. They have already completed recording their new song, and they are currently preparing to shoot the music video.”

Without a doubt, the fans rejoice after hearing the news. Some even expressed their joy with funny memes.

However, despite the announcement of the long-awaited comeback, YG also confirmed that T.O.P will leave the agency after 16 years.

“T.O.P will end his contract with YG and take on various challenges as an artist and entrepreneur.” YG added, “We respect TOP’s opinion that he wants to expand his personal activities as well as [BIGBANG], and we have discussed it well with the members.”

The agency then assures fans that the band will continue as 4-piece, saying, “As long as the conditions are right, [T.O.P] will always participate in BIGBANG’s activities whenever he is able”

He’s the second member to leave YG entertainment after Seungri left the band in March 2019.

While they are already in their 17th year, it seems like K-pop fans still can’t get enough of their music. BIGBANG, originally a five-member group, debuted in 2006 and produced multiple hit songs such as “Fantastic Baby” and “Bang Bang Bang.”
